Ive seen a lot of members asking about how to do this, so I thought it would be good to write up a tutorial on it
I will explain how to download files from Rapidshare using Flashget and a Premium Account ![]()
First of all, you should know that this will not work without a rapidshare premium account!
====================================================
What is flashget?
Flashget is a nifty download manager that can download a file in up too 10 parts (by default). It suports most major file uploading sites.
Why should I use flashget?
People say it lets them download faster and has higher reliability for not corrupting downloads. But I mainly just use it because it keeps my downloads orginised ![]()
Ok cool, so where can I download it?
Flashget is freeware, so there is no need for cracks/keygens. You can download it here:
http://www.flashget.com/en/download.htm
====================================================
Step 1:
Once you have downloaded flashget, install it. When you run it you should see a window like this:
Step 2:
Time to get your RS download link, for this example I will use a music album uploaded by me (Disturbed - The Sickness) ![]()
Copy (Ctrl+V) the RS link, then a new window should pop-up from flashget:
Most of these settings you can leave as defualt. But where it says "Login to Server:", check the check box and enter your premium account details. Then click on "Save as Default" to save it every time you get a new link to download (very helpfull for movies and games witch have a lot of links). Now, where it says "Threads from main site" there should be a box where you can select any number from 1-10.
BEWARE!, the higher number you select in this box the more bandwidth will be taken from your premium account! So dont go stupid and set it as 10 when downloading a game. Because it wont last long ![]()
Step 3:
You should now see the download in the main flashget window:
At default it will save in C:\Downloads, but you can change that in the options ![]()
===================================================
I hope this helped clear up some issues with Flashget, and please leave a thank you ![]()
