Michael McDonald (born February 12, 1952, in St. Louis, Missouri) is an American R&B/soul singer (sometimes described as a "blue-eyed soul" singer) and songwriter, known for his trademark smooth, husky baritone voice. He is perhaps best known for his work as a member of the Doobie Brothers, and for several hits as a solo artist and in collaboration with others.
