Originally released in 1991, ‘Stars’ was the first of the band’s LPs not to feature any cover versions, and the one that really established Mick Hucknall as massive singing talent. It features the hit singles ‘Stars’ and ‘Something Got Me Started’ and is notable for its veiled political lyrics. This Collector’s Edition contains remixes, session tracks and a DVD of the band playing live at the Montreux Jazz Festival.

Simply Red are an English pop band. Their style draws influences from pop, rock, jazz, lovers rock, and blue-eyed soul. Over time, the name "Simply Red" has come to refer less to a specific group of musicians, and is widely regarded as a name for Mick Hucknall’s recordings.
