How to make your own vbulliten forums!

*What you need*

Web Hosting.
Sub domain or domain.
FTP Acess to web hosting
Acess to make a mysql database.

Sub domain or Domain:- Sub domains usually come with hosting. Domains you can buy.

FTP Acess: Comes with most web hosting.

Mysql: Comes with most hosting.

Alright you got everything right? Time to get started.

For getting the files on your domain/sub domain you need an ftp client to upload via ftp.

If you use firefox try FireFTP, its easy to use:

Now once you install that addon go to tools>FireFTP. Click manage accounts and make a new account with your
ftp information given by your website hoster.

Find the vbulliten folder WITH THE VBULLITEN FILES NOT THE HACKS! and once you find the folder (be sure not to be inside the folder) highlight
it and make sure your connected to your ftp. Choose the directory you want it to upload to.
Now once you have high lighted the folder click the arrow going towards the right of the screen to transfer the
vbulliten folder to the web server.

Vbulliten Setup:

Once you have uploaded all folder edit config.php or some cases config.php.new to fit your information.
If your web hosting uses cPanel software you can just go to mysql and create a new database and it should create a new database.
Then for host put local host. For the user and password put your cPanel username and password.
For database name look in cPanel under mysql for the database you made.

You should be able to figure rest out.

When it comes to ask you for a user and password to create an account put what you want your forum
account to be.

Now you are almost done!

You will see it will not let you get on without deleting the install directory. Connect
with ftp again and right click on the /install directory inside the vbulliten files directory
on the web server and click delete.

Congratulations you have set up your own forums! Now set them up!
